Katie Gill
Head Coach
Katie Gill performs triple duty at Thunderbird High School. Along with teaching science, she is the Head Coach for the Track & Field program (Girls and Boys) and the Head Coach of the Titans Girls' Flag Football program, which the school created in 2024.
Asked what she most enjoys about coaching, Coach Gill says it is the opportunity to teach young people to be selfless and to be good teammates–no small tasks in a world that all too often almost automatically thinks "me first."
Coach Gill also encourages student athletes to adopt a healthy mindset for whatever sport they choose, which aligns well with her motto: "You get out what you put in."
After just about any Titans victory, Coach Gill can be found at Angry Chickz in Glendale where she is not angry at all and, in fact, is quite happy to crank up the spice level with a basket of Nashville hot chicken.
A graduate of Cortez High School, Coach Gill went on to Grand Canyon University (Go Lopes!) and received a degree in Education.
