Varsity vs Westview

August 22, 2025 by Matt Nalette

The Titans opened up the 2025 season with a 47-6 victory at home over the Westview Knights. Less than 2 minutes in, Sophomore Zy’Chaun Little returned a blocked punt for the Titans first TD of the season. After the Titans defense forced another punt, the offense took the field for the first time in 2025. The two play, 90-yard drive was capped off with a 70-yard TD run by Senior Melakye Little who rushed 6 times for 90 yards and 2 TDs in the game. Then, the Titans defense forced a 3 and out deep in Knights territory. Junior Ben Paul blocked the punt and recovered it in the endzone for a TD and a 21-0 Titans lead mid 1st Quarter. On Westview’s next possession, Junior Hunter Donathan had his first of two interceptions in the game, and returned it 63 yards for a TD to put the Titans up 28-0 late in the 1st quarter. The Knights would answer back with a TD of their own in the 2nd Quarter but that is all the scoring the Titans defense would allow all night. The Titans had a quick response as Senior QB JP Stewart connected with Sophomore WR Daryl Little for a 50-yard TD pass. The Defense forced a fumble, followed by JP Stewart connecting with Sophomores Daryl Little and Davelle Peterson for long gains before the Titans punched it into the endzone. JP Stewart opened up the 2nd half with another TD pass to Junior Julian Alejandro and the Titans cruised to a 47-6 victory. The Titans Defense blocked two punts returned for TDs, had 2 interceptions, returning 1 for a TD and recovered 2 fumbles. Senior Javier Pursel led the team with 9 tackles. The Titans offensive line paved the way for 340 total yards of offense on just 36 offensive plays. Next week, The Titans will host the Moon Valley Rockets, in a district rivalry game.
